About Us
The Centralina Council of Governments is the state-designated lead regional organization for the area in and around Charlotte, North Carolina. We serve as a conduit of grants, a staff resource for member governments, and a forum for members to address current problems and future needs. Centralina was formed in 1968, and it is one of seventeen North Carolina councils. Funding comes from member dues, state and federal grants, and fees for services. The Board of Delegates, which is comprised of elected officials from the member governments, sets Centralina Council of Governments' policies.
